Features

Every auction is different. Two leagues with identical settings spend differently on every player. Auction Cipher is built on that principle, giving your league auction values based on how your managers actually spend. Here is everything the product does.

League-Calibrated Values

A two-phase engine turns your past auction drafts into a custom set of values for this year, not the same values for every league with the same settings.

Market structure from your history

We read every auction draft your league has run and build a price for each positional slot (what QB1, RB2, WR3, and so on typically cost in your room), weighted across recent years so the structure reflects how your league spends today.

Current-year player mapping

This year's players are lined up against those slots in ranking order, so each player inherits a price that's calibrated to your league instead of a one-size-fits-all auction value. Tiers are factored in to adjust to current year trends.

Prices that match your draft room

Every other tool gives the same values to every 10-team, $200, superflex league. Auction Cipher builds a market from your league's behavior, so a position your managers overpay for is priced like they overpay for it.

Settings-aware

Budget, team count, roster slots, scoring format, superflex, expert rankings, and tiers all feed the model. Change leagues or years and the structure adjusts to that league's settings.

Recalibrates as rankings move

Player rankings firm up as the season approaches. When the underlying data shifts, your values update with it, so the cheat sheet you carry into the draft reflects the latest information.

Slot-by-slot pricing

See the full positional price curve (every QB slot, every RB slot) not just a single number per player. The curve is the backbone of every other tool in the workspace.

Connect Your League

Link your league once and we pull its full settings, managers, and auction draft history automatically.

ESPN, Yahoo, Sleeper & MFL

Connect ESPN with secure cookie credentials, Yahoo through official OAuth, Sleeper through its public API, and MFL with your league username and password. We sync your league settings, managers, and full auction draft results from each.

Full multi-year history import

We walk each platform's season chain (ESPN's multi-year league id, Yahoo's renew chain, Sleeper's previous-season links, and MFL's history block) to import your auction draft history back to the league's beginning.

Manual upload for any other league

On a platform we don't connect to? Upload your draft history yourself, one season at a time, from a CSV template we give you. Fill in each season's budget, teams, and roster, and anything we can't match to an NFL player comes back for you to pick from a shortlist. Once it's in, your values are built exactly the way a connected league's are.

League and manager linking

Moved your league from one platform to another over the years? Link those leagues together so their combined history feeds one continuous market. Managers are tracked as people, not team names, so an owner who renames their team or switches platforms is still the same manager and their spending tendencies follow them across every season.

Automatic player matching

NFL players are matched to a universal identity built from nflverse data, so the same player lines up correctly across platforms and seasons even when names are spelled differently.

Secure, read-only connections

Credentials are stored encrypted and never shared or shown back to you. We only ever read your league data - Auction Cipher never makes changes to your league on any platform.

Setup & Updates

Connecting takes a minute, your draft finds its own way in, and there's a guided tour if you'd rather be shown around.

One-click ESPN setup

ESPN has no public API, so it needs two cookie values from your browser. Our free Chrome extension fills both in with one click, with no developer tools and nothing to look up. Rather not install it? The setup page walks you through it by hand.

This season's draft, imported for you

Once your platform reports your draft complete, we pull the results in automatically, so your draft board and your league's market roll on to the new season without you lifting a finger. A refresh button is there if you want them the moment you stand up from the table. MFL leagues sync manually after the draft, since MFL doesn't publish a draft-status we can watch.

A guided tour, and help on every page

New here? Take a two-minute walkthrough of the whole workspace on our demo league, on desktop. Every page also carries a help button that explains what you're looking at, so you're never guessing what a column means.

The Market Page

The price of every positional slot and the spending behind it, with controls to model how the market shifts.

Positional slot prices

What each slot costs (QB1, QB2, RB1, RB2), derived from your draft history and weighted across recent seasons. The full curve, laid out position by position.

Position allocation controls

Adjust how much of the league's total spending flows to each position and watch the slot prices recompute. Allocations are league-wide shares, so the number describes the whole league, not one team.

Carve-outs for dead money, K & D/ST

Account for budget tied up in kickers, defenses, and money that goes unspent each year so the dollars that actually chase skill players are priced accurately.

Preview before you commit

Try out allocation and carve-out changes in a preview, see the effect on every price, and commit only when the structure looks right for this year's draft.

Recalculation tracking

When you commit a new market, the rest of your workspace knows. Affected strategy values are flagged for review rather than silently overwritten.

See the historical baseline

Every adjustment is anchored to what your league has actually done, so you're tuning a real market rather than inventing one from scratch.

Positions Deep-Dive

A position-by-position table that puts your league-calibrated value next to the major reference sources, so mispricings jump out.

Multi-source comparison

See each player's league value alongside FantasyPros rankings, your own uploaded expert rankings, and (on ESPN, Yahoo, and Sleeper) your platform's own draft-room board, all in one view. A Data panel shows where each source came from and how fresh it is.

Copy tags between your leagues

Play in more than one league? Copy a whole set of targets and avoids from one of your leagues onto another in a couple of clicks, instead of tagging the same players over again.

Spot mispricings

The whole point: find the players your league's market values differently than the field, so you know where the value and the traps are before draft night. Set your own threshold for how wide a gap has to be before it's worth flagging.

Target & avoid tags

Tag the players you're chasing and the ones you want to avoid. Your tags color the cheat sheet you print for draft day, and feed a targets-only filter when you're building a strategy.

Per-position notes

Leave notes on each position that persist for your league, documenting your read on the position's depth, sleepers, or who to wait on.

Bring your own rankings

Trust a different expert than FantasyPros? Upload their rankings as a CSV and they become the rankings your values are built from, across every league in your account. Bring your own tiers, or borrow FantasyPros' groupings.

Strategy Builder

Turn your values into a plan: name the players you want, set the budget you'll spend, and stay flexible when the draft doesn't cooperate.

Ideal mode

Name the specific player you want for each roster slot and build a complete dream-team plan with a running budget.

Tier mode

Target a band of tiers per slot instead of one name, so on draft night you grab the best available player in your range rather than reaching for one guy.

Cornerstones & targets

Mark the anchor picks you're committed to building around, and line up backup targets and candidates for every slot, so you always have a next name ready when someone else wins the bid.

Custom dollar overrides

Disagree with a value? Override it. Your number sticks, and the running budget reflects the plan you actually intend to execute.

Change review

When the market or rankings shift, the rows tied to affected players are flagged with the old and new value side by side, so you can adopt the update or keep your number.

Multiple plans & notes

Build up to 3 strategies, copy one as a starting point for another, and leave notes per position group so the reasoning behind the plan lives with it.

Draft Day

A printable cheat sheet built from your league's values and your own tags, plus exports of everything you've built.

A one-page cheat sheet

Every position ranked and priced by your league's own market on a single page, so the sheet in your hands on draft night is calibrated to your draft room.

Your targets and avoids, in color

Players you tagged come through in green and red to make it easy to read on draft night. No strategy needed first: tag players and print.

Sized to fit your sheet

Set how many players show at each position, pick a font size, and toggle the team and bye columns until the whole thing prints exactly the way you want to read it.

Print, PDF, or CSV

Print it, save it as a PDF, or pull a CSV if you'd rather build your own sheet on top of your league's numbers. It prints on light paper whatever theme you browse in.

Export your draft history

Download your auction results as a set of per-position CSVs. Free on every league, every year, because your league's history should always be yours to keep.

Export or print your strategy

Take the plan itself with you: export your slot-by-slot strategy as a CSV, or print the whole thing with your per-position comments alongside it.
