Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using Auction Cipher.
Summary (not a substitute for the full Terms)
- Auction Cipher turns your league’s historical auction draft data, current-year rankings, and draft-room values into league-specific player valuations.
- Core features are free. Advanced features unlock with a one-time, per-league purchase for the current season. This is not a subscription, and there is no automatic renewal.
- All purchases are final. There are no refunds.
- Valuations are estimates and projections, not guarantees of draft results.
- We are not affiliated with ESPN, Yahoo, Sleeper, MFL, FantasyPros, the NFL, or any professional sports league.
- We do not offer gambling or sports betting.
- The Service is provided “as is” with limited liability, governed by Maryland law.
- The Service is operated by MDI Fantasy LLC, a Maryland limited liability company.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Service at auctioncipher.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
Auction Cipher is a product of MDI Fantasy LLC, a Maryland limited liability company.
2. Description of Service
Auction Cipher provides a platform to:
- Import your league’s historical auction draft results from ESPN, Yahoo, Sleeper, and MFL.
- Upload that history yourself, one season at a time, if your league is on a platform we do not connect to.
- Combine that history with current-year player rankings and draft-room default values to produce league-specific player valuations.
- Build auction strategies, mark target and avoid players, and prepare for your draft in a private workspace.
Player rankings and projections are provided by FantasyPros under a licensed data agreement, and player identity and bye-week data are sourced from the open-source nflverse project. See our Data Sources page for details.
Core features, including draft results, manager trends, and league syncing, are free. Advanced features such as the valuation engine, position deep-dives, and market and strategy tools unlock with a one-time, per-league purchase for the season. 3. Purchases & Billing
3.1 Pricing
Core features are free to use. Advanced features unlock with a one-time purchase that applies to a single league for the season. Pricing is $10 for the first league you activate in a season and $5 for each additional league, with no cap. Pricing is per season. Current pricing and feature details are available at auctioncipher.com/pricing. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time; price changes do not affect purchases you have already made.
3.2 One-time purchase, no subscription

3.3 Access duration and scope
- A purchase unlocks the advanced features for one league for the season it was purchased for, and stays with that league for that season.
- If you link two leagues together as one league across a platform change, the linked group counts as a single league for pricing. You pay once for the group, and your access covers every league in it.
- Applying a purchase to a league is permanent. A purchase cannot be moved to a different league once applied. The one exception: if a linked group is later separated, we move the purchase to the league with the most recent season, so that your access follows the league you are actually drafting.
- After the season, advanced features for that league require a new purchase for the new season. Your imported history and saved work are preserved regardless of access status.
3.4 Refund policy
All purchases are final. We do not offer refunds or credits for unused access. By making a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to this no-refund policy.
3.5 Taxes
Prices displayed on the Service are exclusive of applicable taxes. Sales tax, VAT, or other taxes may be added at checkout where required by law. You are responsible for any applicable taxes associated with your purchase.
4. Account Registration
4.1 Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have parent or guardian consent. You represent that you have the authority to enter into these Terms.
4.2 Account security
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
4.3 Fantasy platform authorization
- To import league data automatically, you must authorize access to your ESPN, Yahoo, Sleeper, and/or MFL fantasy leagues. Connecting a platform is not required to use the Service: you may instead create a league and upload its draft history yourself.
- You represent that you have the right to provide these credentials and authorize this access.
- You are responsible for maintaining valid authentication with ESPN, Yahoo, and MFL. Sleeper uses a public API and requires only your username.
5. Your Content
You may submit or upload content through the Service, for example custom player rankings, strategies, target and avoid tags, notes, keeper lists, valuation inputs, and the draft history and league settings you upload for a manually created league (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content.
License grant
You represent and warrant that:
- You have all rights necessary to grant this license.
- Your User Content does not violate applicable law or third-party rights.
- Your User Content does not infringe any intellectual property rights.
Each user’s workspace is private. Auction Cipher does not offer shared league pages, league invitations, or multi-user access. Your strategies and analysis are visible only to you. We may remove or disable access to User Content that we believe violates these Terms or applicable law.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users’ accounts.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or the servers and networks connected to it.
- Use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or spiders to access the Service without our prior written permission.
- Harvest, collect, or store data from the Service using automated means.
- Circumvent any rate limits, access restrictions, or technical protections.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its valuations without our written permission.
- Impersonate any person or entity.
- Transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code.
- Violate the terms of service of ESPN, Yahoo, Sleeper, MFL, or FantasyPros.
- Use the Service in any way that could harm, disable, or impair it.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Our rights
The Service, including its valuation methodology, software, content, features, and functionality, is owned by MDI Fantasy LLC (d/b/a Auction Cipher) and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
7.2 Third-party content
ESPN, Yahoo, Sleeper, and MFL own all rights to the league data provided through their APIs. Player rankings and projections are provided by FantasyPros under license, and player-identity and bye-week data are provided by nflverse. Use of this third-party data is subject to the respective providers’ terms.
8. Third-Party Services and No Affiliation
8.1 Third-party services
The Service integrates with ESPN, Yahoo, Sleeper, and MFL to retrieve your fantasy league data, and incorporates data from FantasyPros and nflverse. We do not control these third-party services. Your use of them is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

9. Privacy
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and share information. Please review it carefully.
10. Valuations, Data Accuracy & Availability

10.2 Data accuracy
Our output is only as accurate as the data provided by ESPN, Yahoo, Sleeper, MFL, FantasyPros, and nflverse. For a manually created league, it is only as accurate as the history you upload. You acknowledge that:
- Data may be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect due to issues with third-party sources.
- Historical draft data may have gaps or inaccuracies.
- For a league you upload yourself, you are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter. We validate the file’s structure and match players to our NFL player list, but we cannot verify that a price, manager, or pick order is correct.
- Calculated valuations and analytics are provided “as is” without warranty.
10.3 Service availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or updates, third-party API outages or rate limiting, or technical issues beyond our control.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF DATA.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service is free of viruses or harmful components.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MDI FANTASY LLC (D/B/A AUCTION CIPHER) SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE; DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE; OR DAMAGES RELATED TO DATA INACCURACY OR LOSS.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100).
This applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
If you are dissatisfied with the Service, your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the Service.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers or limitations; to that extent, the above may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MDI Fantasy LLC (d/b/a Auction Cipher) from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any third-party rights.
- Your violation of ESPN, Yahoo, Sleeper, MFL, or FantasyPros terms of service.
14. Account Termination
14.1 Your right to terminate
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal information and league data are permanently removed from our systems in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
14.2 Our right to terminate
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or illegal activity, or abuse the Service or harm other users.
14.3 Effect of termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
15. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by sending an email to your registered email address and updating the “Last updated” date at the top of these Terms.
Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maryland. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of these courts.
17. Miscellaneous
17.1 Entire agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MDI Fantasy LLC (d/b/a Auction Cipher).
17.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
17.3 No waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
17.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
17.5 Export control
You agree to comply with all applicable export-control and sanctions laws.
